Rodent Prevention in Orange County
This land is Rats land!
Rodent Prevention is more than just setting a few traps and hoping for the best. Unfortunately, rats are smart, and they quickly find access points that you might never consider. Part of our job is to locate and close off all the rodent access points to prevent them from entering your home.
Did you know that roof rats, which are a big problem in Orange County, can get into homes, garages, sheds, attics and other structures through any opening slightly larger than a nickel? To create a barrier, we use mortar to seal off all openings and permanently block rodent access.
Another successful method is bait stations. Because mice and rats love to eat, bait stations are useful for monitoring the exterior of your home and quickly locating rodent activity. These stations are also helpful in attracting rats away from the house.
All in all, rodent infestation is not fun, and can cost you precious time, energy and your sanity trying to solve it on your own! That's why more OC homeowners turn to OC Pest Control than any other company for dealing with rodent problems quickly, effectively and economically. One simple phone call can clear out your rodents for good!
Great people, very professional. Magnificent job!!
Health Concerns in OC
Rodents, and mice in particular, can transmit many diseases to humans, including Salmonellosis (food poisoning), Rickettsialpox, Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis and Hantavirus. Associated with Deer Mice, Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) can be transmitted through air-borne "contact" with rat feces; in other words, inhaling the dust. Critical care should be employed when collecting or disposing of droppings, or when cleaning an infested area. Mice can also transmit tapeworms, leptospirosis, ratbite fever as well as organisms that can cause ringworm (a fungal skin disease) in humans.
